- Be prepared for a tropical climate: Amazonas (in Spanish) is hot and humid all year round. Pack light clothing, but also long-sleeved clothes to protect you from insects and mosquitoes.

- Vaccinations and health: check with your doctor to make sure you’re up to date with the vaccinations recommended for the region, such as compulsory yellow fever and hepatitis A, which is strongly recommended.

Day 1: Bogotá
- Arrival in Bogotá.
Private transfer from the airport to your hotel in “la Candelaria”, the city’s historic center.
Day 2: Bogotá
- Visit to the Gold Museum and Botero Museum, Bogotá’s two most famous museums.
- Visit La Candelaria: explore the historic district with its colorful streets, museums (such as the Gold Museum and the Botero Museum), and ancient churches.
- Climb Montserrate: Take the funicular or cable car to admire a panoramic view of the city from this highest point.
Day 3: Bogotá
- Visit La Candelaria: Explore the historic district with its colorful streets and museums (morning).
- Plaza de Bolívar: Discover the central square surrounded by historic buildings such as the Primada Cathedral and the Palace of Justice (morning).
- Gastronomic tour: discover all the country’s specialties with our gastronomic guide (afternoon).
Day 4: Bogotá to Leticia.
- After breakfast, drive to Leticia airport, your gateway to the Amazon, on the border with Brazil and Peru.
- Transfer by boat from the port of Leticia to your hotel on the banks of the Amazon, the Eco Hotel.
- Night hike for animal watching.
Day 5: Leticia.
- Excursion to La isla de los Micos: You’ll take a boat to visit this island, where you can observe several species of monkey in their natural habitat.
- Then meet the indigenous communities
Day 6: Puerto Nariño and Calanoa Reserve
The next day, a short cruise on the Amazon takes you to Puerto Nariño, a village with no motorized vehicles and reputed to be the only certified eco-village in Colombia, the ideal place to get away from it all for a day. This small indigenous village is located two hours by boat from Leticia. Not far from here you’ll reach the Calanoa Reserve and Lake Tarapoto, where pink dolphins and bird specimens are concentrated.
